Solvents & Auxiliaries Supporting Modern Formulation and Industrial Processing

Solvents and auxiliary chemicals play an important role in industrial formulations and manufacturing processes where solvency, compatibility, moisture control, and stable processing performance are required. Glycol-based materials are particularly useful because they can support both aqueous and organic formulation systems across a wide range of applications.
Rather than serving a single function, solvents and auxiliaries may act as formulation solvents, coupling agents, processing aids, chemical intermediates, or functional raw materials. Manufacturers select them according to the required evaporation profile, water compatibility, solvency, hygroscopicity, and downstream processing conditions.

Common Solvent & Auxiliary Products and Applications

Vanchor currently supplies glycol-based solvent and auxiliary products for industrial manufacturing and formulation.
Common products include:

  • Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether (EGBE / Butyl Glycol)
  • Ethylene Glycol (MEG) ≥99%

Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether is widely used as a solvent and coupling agent in paints and coatings, household and industrial cleaners, printing inks, and other industrial formulations. Its combination of effective solvency and water miscibility makes it suitable for systems containing both aqueous and organic components.
Ethylene Glycol, also known as Monoethylene Glycol, is used in polyester and PET production, antifreeze and coolant formulations, polyester resins, chemical intermediates, printing inks, adhesives, and other industrial applications.

Versatile Materials Across Multiple Industries

One reason glycol-based solvents and auxiliaries remain widely used is their ability to perform different functions across industrial processes. Some formulations require effective solvency and coupling between water and organic components, while others depend on water miscibility, hygroscopicity, low volatility, or chemical functionality.
EGBE is particularly suited to coatings, cleaners, and inks where solvent performance and controlled evaporation are important. MEG serves a different role as both a formulation component and chemical intermediate, especially in polyester, PET, coolant, resin, and heat-transfer applications.
This functional diversity allows manufacturers to select suitable materials according to their formulation systems, processing requirements, and finished-product performance targets.

Reliable Solvents & Auxiliaries Supply

As a supplier of solvents and auxiliary chemicals, Vanchor provides Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether and Ethylene Glycol for industrial manufacturers, formulators, chemical distributors, and international buyers.
Flexible packaging options are available to support different purchasing volumes and handling requirements. EGBE is supplied in 190 kg steel drums and 880 kg IBCs, while Ethylene Glycol is available in 220 kg drums and 1.2 MT IBCs. Product documentation including COA, TDS, MSDS/SDS, and relevant export documentation can also be provided according to customer and shipment requirements.
